The Course :
Computers are part of almost every aspect of our lives like Education, Banking, Healthcare, Shopping, Travel, Video Games, etc. The Computer industry is one of the fastest growing segments and improvise the same with new rapid growing technologies. Computer Science teaches students how to be innovative and how to solve problems & develop programs.
The Department of computer science offers excellent curriculum exclusively designed for students to have successful careers in the IT industry. Our specialized curriculum provides students with hands-on training in sophisticated laboratories and equip them with the advanced skills in IT spectrum.
The Department aims at providing the students with Software Skills in different Programming Languages, Operating Systems, Networking, Hardware Peripherals, Data Base Management and software testing. Students are also taught latest technologies like Mobile Communication, Web Design, Network Security, cloud computing and multimedia.
Provides opportunities to undertake live Projects as a part of meeting curriculum needs.
Higher Studies :
After successful completion of Diploma, Karnataka students can take admission to third semester BE, third semester BCA/B.Sc

Departmental Activities
A Guest lecture was organized for 3rd year students (Al & ML) on the topic Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on 26th July 2024 by Ms. Chaithali S.K.
A Workshop was Organized on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on 30th and 31st July 2024 in Computer Lab, Al & ML department, RIT for final year students(Al & ML).
A guest lecture was organized for 3rd year students (FSD) on the topic Full Stack Development on 1st August 2024 by Mr. Nithin Kumar, Winger IT Solutions.
An Industrial tour to M/s. Sensara Technology Pvt. Ltd., was organized on 5th August 2024 for Final Year Students (AI & ML).
An Institutional visit to Ramaiah Institue of Technology was organized on 26th August 2024 for Second Year Students on Computer Networking.
A Workshop was Organized on Full Stack Development on 29th and 30th August 2024 in Computer Lab, AI & CS department, RIT for final year students (FSD).
Talk by Prof.Shankar, IISC & TA on 19-8-2025 for Final Year Students on the topic Cyber Security.
